Managing the financial aspects of your residential, commercial, or industrial project should be clear, transparent, and seamless. At Proventa Construction Inc., our billing process is structured around progress milestones to ensure accountability, predictability, and complete transparency from start to finish.
This guide explains how progress invoicing works, how payments are structured, and how you can securely settle invoices online through your client portal.
1. How Progress Invoicing Works
Unlike traditional billing where the entire payment is due upfront or all at once upon completion, Proventa Construction utilizes progress milestone billing for major renovation, remodeling, and construction projects.
-
Milestone-Based Billing: Total project costs are divided into logical, manageable phases (such as an initial deposit, framing completion, rough-ins, drywall/finishing, and final walkthrough sign-off).
-
Pay for Progress: You are only invoiced as specific phases of construction are successfully executed, inspected, and verified on-site. This ensures your capital is tied directly to real, tangible progress.
2. Typical Payment Milestone Structure
While every contract is tailored to the exact scope of your build (whether a kitchen remodel, bathroom update, basement finishing, or commercial tenant improvement), a standard residential milestone schedule typically follows this framework:
-
Initial Project Deposit: Secures your project dates, finalizes architectural/permit documentation, and initiates material procurement.
-
Phase 1 – Rough-In / Framing Completion: Triggered upon completion of structural framing, demolition, and major mechanical rough-ins (plumbing and electrical).
-
Phase 2 – Drywall & Insulation Milestone: Invoiced once insulation, drywall installation, and taping are completed and approved.
-
Phase 3 – Final Completion & Handover: Due upon the final walkthrough, completion of custom finishes, and client sign-off.
3. Receiving and Reviewing Your Invoices
When a project milestone is reached:
-
An automated email notification containing your secure invoice link is sent directly to your registered email address.
-
You can also log into your secure client portal anytime at crm.proventaconstruction.com/authentication and navigate to the Invoices tab to view open balances, download official PDF receipts, and check historical payment records.
4. Secure Online Payments
To make settling your progress invoices fast and secure, our client portal supports multiple payment methods:
-
Credit Cards & Online Processing: Click the "Pay Now" button directly on your digital invoice inside the portal to pay instantly using major credit cards or digital wallets via secure gateways like Stripe.
-
Direct Bank Transfers (EFT / Wire): For larger milestone payments, you can submit direct electronic fund transfers or wire transfers using the official corporate banking instructions printed at the bottom of your invoice PDF.
-
Automated Updates: Once an online payment is processed, your client portal updates in real-time, instantly zeroing out the open balance and notifying our project accounting desk.
